"Some people are impressed with the fact that I meditate and do yoga, and others are not interested, don’t care, or are simply are not aware of what it means. I've heard that some Christians (though not my Christian friends) regard these practices as evil. In my view that’s silly, because I am committed to the essence of Christianity as much as anyone –like loving your neighbor as yourself.

* The Buddhist tradition as we know it has its origin in the life and teaching of Shakyamuni Buddha, born Siddartha Gautama, some 2500 years ago in northern India, in what is now Nepal. Buddha literally means awakened one.

The Yoga of Mind is a name I use to describe an approach to mental training found in various forms in many Asian spiritual lineages. In this approach the practitioner directs the attention inward to explore the subjective source of consciousness and awareness.
